The Festival
We will be celebrating our 5th year in 2026! The Straight River Art Festival is a one-day juried event set for May 30, 2026 from 9am to 5pm. This festival, located in Faribault, Minnesota, is open to all Minnesota Artists in any medium. The festival features 25+ vendors with hand-made artwork and fine crafts as well as live music, great food and live art creations!

Live Art Project

Each year we feature a live art project during the festival. This year Tami Jo Resler demonstrated the Raku process, a unique Japanese firing technique that creates beautiful metallic and matte surfaces on pottery.
Music

We showcase an amazing line up of musicians each year during the festival – from big band to solo artists to contemporary rock ‘n roll. Music starts early and lasts all day.
– Call for Artists –
We currently work with District One Hospital, Faribault, Minnesota, curating and hanging the work of local artists in the Healing Arts Gallery. This has been a successful effort to beautify our community and give local artists a chance to show (and sell!) work. Please email us if interested in having your work displayed. Be sure to include your medium of artwork, 4 images, and a short bio.
